Sure This Looks Genuine

Back when I was younger, I used to play a lot of ROMs. Back when I was impressionable, I actually thought that a lot of ROM hacks and transliterations and translations were official games. Even so, I always had my suspicions over Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Jade.

These games are actually translations of Keitai Denjū Telefang, a Pokémon inspired RPG produced by an entirely different company. Not only do the games look entirely different, surely the fact that they never bothered to hack the original 151 in there was clue enough to their unofficial nature.
And the story of this hack didn't make any sense. It was so poorly translated, I remember all these references to curry and noodles and stuff. What does it have to do with Pokémon? Nothing! Nothing at all.
Dare me to play through this again, after all these years?

  1. I've played a few ROM hacks before, and it was really funny when they started cussing xD

    1. I've played a few where after a while you discover Pokémon with rude or dirty names. I couldn't stop laughing at some of them.
